So there was this competition being run over on Facebook by one of the Doctor Who fanpages (something I have just started getting into (FINALLY? I hear, like, five million people saying)), where the purpose of the competition was to come up with a new design for the Doctor. And this was mine!

Any excuse to paint stars and nebulas and feeler-face space-birds!

Drawn and painted by way of the loyal old Wacom. Among other quirks of personality and crimes of fashion, my take on Twelve for this competition just can't not touch -- even if it's a strange nebula-dwelling feeler-face space-bird. I have dubbed it the 'Atroxian Manta-Bird'. It feeds on nebula gasses

Oddly enough, I never intended for his hair to come out that colour -- the opposite, in fact -- it just sort of happened!

Oh! Obviously, the art is by me, of course

It has nebulas and FEELER-FACE SPACE-BIRDS. Also a TARDIS. EVERYTHING IS BETTER WHEN IT HAS A TARDIS.

Very cool. I like the coloring in this piece and especially approve of the blue waistcoat. Not quite so sure about the big yellow button, but good job!
