My hand is dead now.

This took the better part of four days and one of planning, and while I'm sure there's still plenty more I could do to it, I'm happy with it as it is.

It's been a while since I did something big and I've been itching to do so (I think the last one was the Clocktower piece, and hah! again with Vexus. What can I say, the cranky old beast makes things fun to draw).


I finally realised what it is I've been doing to make human faces look so... well, I think 'retarded' might be a choice word here. Made a step towards hammering out the kinks with the style now <:


Anyhey, 'tis Andel and Oberon doing their best to remain undiscovered and probably not doing too fantastic a job of it. And Vexus is Vexus.


Sorry about the kb, I had to choose between large filesize or terrible compression. But this is scaled down from 6000px and 300dpi to 1700px & 72dpi, so 667 isn't too bad I suppose. But the damned thing did nearly kill my computer several times.

I'm thinking this would be a cool-ass book cover. Don't you think so? There's just enough space above Andel for a title, and space around Vexus for a blurb or two on the back. If you plan it right, Vexus's snarly mug would end up right on the spine. :3

What would be especially nice about this cover (and make it leap out from other books) is that Oberon's posture is so, so NOT high-fantasy.

Also, I never realized how fair Andel is. His eyebrows! They're so pale! His eyelashes! I think they're white! Probably from him wandering around onboard all day with Ferdinand.
